While trying to solve my mailbox, I opened the unread e-mails sent to a friend on New Year’s Eve. It was one of those kinds of chain e-mails, if there is a risk that bad luck falls on you, if it is not possible to send more than 20 contacts. I was simply removing (it was just a waste of space mailbox too), but decided to read it before it to oblivion. This e-mail contains a short Chinese proverb certainly break a few holes in my personality. I read somewhere before you probably also, but only after going to ensure that we were talking about the same adage.
With the money:
You can buy a house, but not at home.
You can use one hour, but no time.
You can buy a bed but not sleep.
You can book, but not knowledge.
You can add a doctor, but not a good health.
You can buy, but not to.
You may be blood, but not live.
You may be sex, but not love.
Have a feeling guilty yet? You live in this world, trying so hard to earn money just to buy a big house in a pleasant and, in the upscale neighborhood. Furthermore we have enough time to spend with our families, especially children (for those who have children). They can not sleep because we expect that our work in the evening. Compromise Amendment health because it is tiresome burden in some worst-case scenario, but not to forget the others, so that we can achieve what we want. It is a pity, but what money we have the material to share happiness it provides.
But still the desire for more money and it is a global phenomenon, with regard to storm the world since the dawn of civilization. Men they fought like animals. I think people are born. It seems that we greed embedded in our DNA.
The proverb reminds me of one movie Nicholas Cage, The Family Man. In the story, Cage plays Jack Campbell, a wealthy and powerful businessman on Wall Street. It was certainly at the top of their game, but one Christmas Eve, Jack, what do you realize that they have lost because of his insatiable hunger for wealth. He lost a chance with Kate, the love of his life and missed opportunity for a good father to children, Josh and Annie. He lost a chance to know what its like to live a simple life.
Because of the money, I lost precious time. Time, I would have spent with my father. Now, regardless of how many I have, I can never go back. Even when I was wasted away from him than and I am not power hungry, just like Jack.
Clearly, the proverb means that money is not everything. To some extent, but, fortunately, that happiness is only temporary. It is usually the money, which can never buy at home, time to sleep, a huge knowledge, good health, respect for others, and love and life itself.
i cant agree more…
tahnx for the visit!
